Great little oyster bar! I had the classic baked oysters and my son had the fried oyster poboy. Both were excellent.
They make a drink, "Bird on a Wire," which was so refreshing I had to have two. -

This little spot is beautiful pearl in downtown Baton Rouge. Featuring oysters, po' boys, boudin balls and gumbo this menu is a love letter to Cajun food.
I recently went here with a friend for a late dinner. We grabbed boudin balls and a dozen oysters- half classic and half Thai. Both delicious! We also had the chocolate mousse cake, that was just okay but you can't spite an oyster joint for having ok desserts. -

This place is a straight up rip off. $80 for barely any food but tons of fries for a seafood platter is just pathetic. I could have went to any other restaurant and got so much better food and service. I definitely will not be coming here again! That was a waste of time a money. The food wasn't even that good either.
I ordered the seafood platter and it comes with 4 shrimp, 4 fried oysters, a piece of catfish, and like an entire plate of disgusting fries. That was so not worth it. We also got the boudin balls and they are absolutely tiny and very burnt. They were at least good, so that was fine.
Our server was not really paying attention to us at all and it wasn't busy in here at all, so I don't understand why she kept disappearing. She showed up when it was time to pay though. -

The two stars are for the building, waitress and atmosphere. Unfortunately we had a very disappointing experience with our choice of food. We were traveling from Gonzalez to Dallas and I wanted to have a Muffaletta before leaving Louisiana. On numerous occasions I had told my husband, who had never had one, how good they are. I was in New Orleans when I was introduced to the Muffaletta.
The Muffaletta here was a huge disappointment. I should of realized it would not be what we wanted when the waitress told us that they press the bread down to be more like a panini. It was the size of a panini and I would have been okay with that, but it was also inedible. The meats they used were like trying to eat rubber and frankly, just tasted bad. They grilled the bread, but it tasted like the grill was dirty and I think we were their first customers at 11 am. I managed to make myself eat some of the sandwich but my husband took two bites and said he was done
We also ordered the Boudin balls. They were very good!!
I also ordered their margarita, while not a typical margarita, was made with freshly squeezed limes and oranges (not typical) was excellent.
We took notice of what other customers ordered as they came in and it looks like the pasta and seafood would have been a better choice.
I would recommend but not if you want a good Muffaletta. -

Food and service were sub-par. They were rather busy, which I would normally be sympathetic to but the server/manager never apologized or even came out to check on us. Half the table got oysters and half of us got sandwiches, the oysters came out almost 20 minutes before the rest of the food. Again I could've forgiven this if the server had explained that would be the case when we ordered. The server was quite rude when we asked her to run our cards because we had already been there over an hour and a half and we only ordered one round of drinks and entrees. Food was absolutely not worth the wait, drinks were okay. This place came highly recommend but I'll never be back.
